Cards for a Cause #4

This is the last "Card for A Cause Challenge" over at PunkyDoodle Papers Blog. This was to be a "thinking of you" card. Lesa gave us some inspiration with some pictures she took after an ice storm in 2007. I thought the trees from SU set "Lovely as a Tree" were a picture replication (once I embossed them with silver embossing powder). I stamped the wording on vellum and embossed it as well, and added some shear silver ribbon.

Upward

Our grandson Joseph is playing in an Upward basketball league, so that is where I was this Saturday morning. We had a fun time watching him play.
Jenni (our daughter) said what happened that we are here watching Joseph play basketball? It seems like just yesterday that he was a baby. I told her that time just goes by to fast, it seem like just yesterday that she was my little baby.
Miss Jaden was also there and this is what her tongue looked like after a whole pack of Skittles....

Peace & Love

Here is a valentine card I made today for Heather's "share your spark Friday". The challenge was to make a card and put some "bling" on it. I used Rangers Stickles (can't really see it in the picture), and Hero Art gemstones. The stamp set is also Hero Art - Jolly Christmas.

SU cardstock, Basic Grey paper,

Finally its Saturday...

This work week was so LONG. I was thankful I was able to sleep in this morning. Since then we have just been puttering around the house. I did laundry, cleaned the house, organized some kitchen cupboards, created a couple valentines cards....
This is what I want to do next....
Ooops, Jack caught me taking his picture.
Maybe we will go out and play in the snow instead.

Sweet Challenge

Sweet Memories...a scrapbook page about last years trip to Scrap and Spa (a scrapbooking retreat in MI). The challenge was to create a layout based on the sketch provided by Page Maps and it had to have a sweet theme. To me there is nothing sweeter than spending a fun weekend with my friend and family.

Color Inspiration #37

This is the card that I made for Kristina's color challenge. When I saw this challenge the first thing I thought about was how the pencils looked liked strips of paper. Maybe that is way to general, but that is what I went with. I like how it turned out, and I love the birds from SU set "a little birdie told me". Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Cards for a Cause

This is a valentine's card I made for challenge at Punky Doodle Papers blog. Cards are being collected and then will be handed out at a nursing home/assisted living center. I think this is an incredibly good idea. My dad visits a nursing home in our community and visits with the patients. I need to ask him if he would like me to make him some cards for him to pass out.

Made with SU set Toucan of my Love...

Memories

A friend emailed me this picture today. It is of my 4-H group (30 or so years ago). It brings back lots and lots of good memories.
