I have been thinking about my blog all day.....I sent the link out to my friends and family. I hope my ideas and samples inspire all of you to create something amazing.....

I was excited to finally get some snow. The kids have been sledding and playing hockey and even the dog was excited to get to go play in the snow. Jaden, my granddaughter who is almost two, cried when her parents took her out in the snow. She didn't like the snowflakes falling on her. She doesn't like bugs, so I am thinking that maybe she thought the flakes were bugs? I wish I would have been there to see it. That would have made a great scrapbook page. Maybe I will have to recreate it.
The above picture is made from a shadowbox frame I purchased at the Dollar Store (on clearance for $.25). I had to do a little work on it. I had to open up the back and remove the weird stuff that was inside (a fish and an odd poem). Then I sanded the frame and white washed it with acrylic paint. The image I stamped on the background is from the SU spring mini. I stamped CM then wrote in Cris Marsh (it isn't very clear in the picture). I have this sitting in my office on my bookshelf. Looks pretty good for a quarter.

My first blog

I am so excited about my new blog.....
I am posting a picture of a picture frame that I just completed. I bought the frame for a dollar at a local discount store (Pamida). I used the Enchantment paper from the SU winter mini. I love this paper and had a difficult time using it. I have to confess.....I am a paper hoarder.
I used close to cocoa cardstock on the back of the frame, and taupe grossgrain ribbon for the hanger.
This frame highlights one of my favorite subjects....my grandaughter Jaden.

I am always on the prowl for cheap 3D items that I can transform. When I bought this chipboard frame, the clerk who checked me out said "what a cute" frame. What I wanted to say was "you should see it when I get finished with it". But what I said was "yes, it is". I will go purchase another frame and take it apart and then show you how I put it back together.

In the next couple days I will post more 3D items that I have made recently and samples from the Stamp Camp Extravaganza that my sister Angie and I are hosting this weekend.
